DHL joins a crowd of European postal groups that are suspending standard shipments to the U.S. as the country starts charging duties on lower value parcels.

The move aligns with announcements from U.K.-based Royal Mail, as well as other European postal services like Posten Bring, PostNord, Bpost and Austrian Post.

Effective August 29, all imported goods, including small parcels previously valued at $800 or less, will now be subject to U.S. customs duties.
