I'm going down a similar road - unbalanced RCA outs to balanced XLR inputs on Genelec monitors - and it'd be great not to have get additional converter boxes.

Do I just get RCA to XLR M cables (like Monoprice sells for $5 each) or do I need to get an Unbalanced-to-Balanced converter (which would probably still be worth it for the space savings)?
